StationARTS application window will open August 15th
StationARTS is a Special Academic Program open to all Fayette County students. Our campus is located within Bryan Station High School. The arts are integrated into the core content of StationARTs students. Our students are immersed in artistic experiences, from daily classes in their preferred arts area, to working with professionals both within BSHS and beyond its doors.

The application window will be opening soon. Please begin to select teachers for your recommendations and begin preparing to meet with us. See below for audition guidelines and suggestions.
After the application window closes, (Usually around the first week of October) and recommendations have been received, you will be contacted about a specific time to meet with us.
When We Meet,
We will talk with you, to get to know you past your paperwork.
We expect to see a sample(s) of your work.
Visual Art: Portfolio (Physical or Digital) One portrait, one landscape, one still life ( all 3 from Life), an image/sculpture of your interpretation of a bicycle and 2 pieces of your choosing.
Classical Guitar: maximum of 3 minute prepared piece.
Band, Orchestra and Keyboard instrumentalist: 2-3 minute prepared piece, Scales, Sight-reading.
Vocalist: Maximum of 3 minutes prepared piece. Accompanist will be furnished. Supply sheet music one week in advance of meeting date to Dr. Kristine Lyon, at BSHS or you may furnish your own accompanist. Sight-reading.
Drama: prepare 2 contrasting monologues, and expect cold readings and improvisation
Dance: prepare a 60-90 second dance, please furnish music on a CD or IPod
or display your talent from your point of view.
It is understood that not all applicants may be trained for the criteria above. We still want you to apply and come with a sample of your work. We are also looking for individuals who have strong potential.

StationARTS is the newest offering from Fayette County Public Schools and Bryan Station High School. Our students are immersed in artistic experiences, from daily classes in their preferred arts area to working with professionals both within BSHS and beyond it's doors.
StationARTS within each arts area will allow students to explore all possibilities of their arts area. Freshmen core classes begin this yearin conjunction with arts area teachers to maximize content integration.
