The StationArts Open House for prospective 8th Grade Students will be taking place on September 21 from 5:30pm-7:00pm at Bryan Station High School.  Take this opportunity to tour the school, meet the StationArts Faculty, and see student performances and art work!

StationARTS is a Special Academic Program open to all Fayette County students.  Our campus is located within Bryan Station High School.  The arts are integrated throughout the curriculum for StationArts students. Our students are immersed in artistic experiences, from daily classes in their preferred arts area, to working with professionals both within BSHS and beyond its doors.

The application window will be opening soon.   Please begin to select teachers for your recommendations and begin preparing to meet with us. See below for audition guidelines and suggestions.

After the application window closes, (Usually around the first week of October) and recommendations have been received,  you will be contacted about a specific time to meet with us.

When We Meet,

We will talk with you, to get to know you past your paperwork.


We expect to see a sample(s) of your work.

Suggested criteria:
Visual Art:  Portfolio (Physical or Digital) One portrait, one landscape, one still life (all 3 from Life), an image/sculpture of your interpretation of a bicycle and 2 pieces of your choosing.
Classical Guitar:  Maximum of 3 minute prepared piece.
Band, Orchestra and Keyboard instrumentalist:  2-3 minute prepared piece, Scales, Sight-reading.
Vocalist:  Maximum of 3 minutes prepared piece and sight reading. Accompanist will be furnished. Supply sheet music one week in advance of meeting date to Dr. Kristine Lyon, at BSHS or you may furnish your own accompanist.
Drama:  Prepare 2 contrasting monologues, and expect cold readings and improvisation
Dance:  Prepare a 60-90 second dance, please furnish music on a CD or IPod

It is understood that not all applicants may be trained for the criteria above.  We still want you to apply and come with a sample of your work.  We are also looking for individuals who have strong potential.
