Discussion of 2008-2009 Schedule
Sept. 5
, 2007

The scheduling committee will have three meetings between today and October 9.  The agendas for the meetings are listed below.  During these meetings we will first discuss the process, review scheduling proposals, and finally select and revise no more than three schedule proposals to go to SBDM.

ALL interested parties are invited to attend these meetings.  In addition anyone can bring a scheduling proposal to this committee.  Please note that a proposal is not a statement like “we should have a 6 period day” or “we should keep it the way it is” A proposal contains a number of elements that consider how a specific schedule works for our students.  To assist in developing proposals, an outline of what should be included in a schedule proposal is attached below:

Please email your proposals as a Microsoft Word attachment to Brett.Owens@fayette.kyschools.us

AGENDAS

Note: the order that proposals will be presented will be based on the order that the written proposals are received by the committee chair.  This order will be added to the actual agendas that will be printed and distributed at the meetings.  After written proposals are considered, additional time will be provided to individuals that would like to present an oral proposal.  However, in order for a proposal to continue to SBDM it will need someone to develop the written proposal.
