Boys Take Two

The defenders took two victories over the weekend with wins against Dunbar on Friday night and Lafayette on Saturday. Terrell Combs had game-highs with 21 points and 10 rebounds in No. 1 Bryan Station’s 83-57 victory at Lafayette. Shelvin Mack added 20 points for the Defenders, who are the highest-rated team in Dave Cantrall’s Rating the State.

On Saturday, Shelvin Mack and Dacoby Burnett each scored 20 points and No. 1 Bryan Station handled No. 16 Paul Dunbar. The visiting Defenders overcame 17 turnovers by shooting 58 percent from the floor and holding the Bulldogs to 38 percent.
