Good News @ BSHS
State
Track & Field Competition:
Congratulations to the Boys
and Girls Track Teams for a great showing at state competition. The
Boys Team placed 5th overall and the Girls Team placed 8th overall.
Several students won or placed in individual events as well. Great
Job!
State
STLP Competition:
Students competed at the State STLP
(Student Technology Leadership Program) Competition on May 21st and were
awarded the following honors: High School Award for Morehead State
University Mapping Kentucky History project, Best Showcase in Group award,
and STLP Gold School Honors.
State Solo and Ensemble
Festival:
Two orchestra students
recently received distinguished ratings for their violin solos at the State
Solo and Ensemble Festival. Congratulations!
State World Language
Competition:
The BSHS Spanish program scored second
place overall in the State World Academic Competition held at the University
of Kentucky. Our students competed against more than 50 high schools
and were the only Fayette County High school to place.
State Choral Awards:
Congratulations to the BSHS
choral department. Three students represented BSHS at state level
competition and all received distinguished rankings. Great job!

2009 Yearbooks:
There are fewer
than 25 copies remaining of the 2009 yearbook. Copies may be purchased
June 15-20th in the library between 9:00 and 12:00.
